1. About these Terms

Findmeety ("we", "us"), operated by Findmeety, runs findmeety.com, a website that helps people find friends, teachers, meal buddies, local services and events. By using the site, creating an account or posting, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Findmeety.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Findmeety.
• Give accurate information and keep your password safe. One account per person; don't impersonate anyone.
• You're responsible for everything done with your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

3. Findmeety is a platform only

• We provide tools that let members find and contact each other. We are not the provider, employer, agent or broker of any post, service, event, rental or job, and we are not a party to any arrangement between members.
• We do not pre-screen members or posts, and we don't check licenses, insurance, qualifications or backgrounds. The "Verified" badge only means an admin saw an ID document and a selfie that matched. It is not a background or criminal-record check or a guarantee of any kind.
• Health posts are shared by members. Findmeety does not give medical advice or verify medical licenses. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
• Bookings, payments, prices, cancellations and refunds are agreed between members. Findmeety does not handle payments and is not responsible for disputes between members.
• Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and use your own judgment about safety.

4. Your content

• You keep ownership of the posts, photos, comments, reviews and messages you add ("content"). You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, copy and reformat it (for example thumbnails, translations, search results and link previews) to run and promote Findmeety.
• You promise you have the right to post your content and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights.
• Reviews must reflect real experiences. Don't review yourself, your friends' businesses or accept anything in return for a review.
• When you repost someone else's event, credit the source and make sure you're allowed to share it.

5. What you must not do

• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, stalk or harm anyone; post sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content;
• offer or ask for sexual services, drugs, weapons, scams, pyramid schemes or any illegal deal;
• post false, misleading or duplicate posts, or pretend to be another person or business;
• collect, sell or publish other people's personal information without their consent;
• send spam, use bots or scrapers, overload or disrupt the site, or get around its security;
• use Findmeety in any way that breaks local law (including licensing, tax and housing rules).

6. Reports and moderation

Use the Report button to tell us about content or members that break these rules. We may (but don't have to) review, hide or remove any content, and we may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk, with or without notice.

7. Our intellectual property

The Findmeety name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. Apart from normal use of the site, you may not copy or use them without written permission.

8. Disclaimers

Findmeety is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no warranty about the quality, safety, legality or accuracy of any member, post, service or event. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Findmeety and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for members' interactions, meetings or transactions, or any personal injury or property damage that results from them. Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of US$100 or what you paid us in the last 12 months.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your dealings with other members.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Findmeety at any time, or email us to delete your account. We may end your account if you break these Terms. Sections 4 and 7–12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the competent courts of that state, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms and will change the date at the top. We'll tell you about important changes on the site or by email. If you keep using Findmeety after a change, you accept the new Terms.
