1. What we collect

• Account: email, display name and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
• Profile (optional): photos, bio, skills, interests, languages, country/city, gender, birthday (only your age is shown, and you can hide it), booking rate and the days/hours you can be booked.
• What you post: posts, optional street address, photos, comments, reviews, recommendations, event sign-ups, bookings and messages (including reactions).
• ID verification (optional): the driver's license or passport images and selfie you upload. Only admins see them, and they are deleted once reviewed. We keep only the result and the document type.
• Location: we turn the city or address you enter into map coordinates to show maps and distances. Your browser shares your live location only when you tap "Use my current location" or "How far is it from me?", and we don't store it.
• Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, time zone, language and error logs, for security, debugging and abuse prevention.
• Cookies: only essential ones (keeping you logged in, remembering your language, security). No advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

2. How we use it

• To run Findmeety: search, maps, Matches, messages, bookings, notifications and email reminders;
• for safety and trust: ID verification, handling reports, preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms;
• to improve the service and fix problems;
• to send you notifications (you can turn off email notifications on your profile).

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who can see your information

• Other members and visitors: your public profile (name, photo, city, bio, skills, interests, languages, and age and gender if you add them), your posts, reviews and verified badge. Your email and birthday are never shown.
• People you message or book: what you send them.
• Service providers, only as needed to run the site: hosting and database (Microsoft Azure), our email delivery provider, Google sign-in, maps and address lookup (OpenStreetMap / Nominatim and the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder), and AI search (Anthropic, which receives only the search text you type and summaries of public posts, not your account details).
• Legal reasons: when the law requires it, or to protect members, the public or our rights and safety.
• Business transfers: if Findmeety is merged or sold, data may transfer with it and stays protected by this policy.

4. Your choices and rights

• Edit or delete your profile details, photos and posts at any time.
• Use invisible mode, hide yourself from Matches, or hide specific people.
• Turn off email notifications.
• Email frank_it_llc@outlook.com to get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account. Depending on where you live (for example California's CCPA or the EU's GDPR) you may have additional rights, and we'll honor them as the law requires.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your information while your account exists. After you delete your account we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable time, except records we must keep longer for safety, disputes or legal reasons (for example reports). ID document images are deleted as soon as they're reviewed.

6. Security

We use HTTPS, password hashing and access controls, and keep ID documents in non-public storage. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong password and don't share sensitive information in messages.

7. Children

Findmeety is only for people 18 and older. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we'll delete it.

8. International users

Our servers are in the United States. By using Findmeety you understand your information is processed there.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date at the top. We'll tell you about important changes on the site or by email.
