Free sixth annual community festival celebrating the music and traditions connecting Dallas and New Orleans, in tribute to Dallas jazz legend Roy Hargrove. Live jazz bands, jazz dance, New Orleans brass bands, Black Mardi Gras Indians, Louisiana cuisine and family art activities, closing with a traditional Second Line parade. Festival grounds open 12:30 PM. Family-friendly; bring a blanket or short lawn chair. Food and drinks available for purchase.
